Oakland City University’s (OCU) Ed.D. degree online program prepares educators to lead through the concept of organization renewal, which focuses on an organization’s common values, a clear vision and the pursuit of goals. With specialization options in three areas, graduates garner enhanced leadership and complex problem solving skills to benefit organizations, schools and the community.
The online Ed.D. degree consists of a minimum of 90 credit hours (96 credit hours for those who have not completed six hours of research in a master’s degree program). Students may transfer up to 33 credit hours from prior graduate work. OCU delivers courses in a hybrid format that consists of online courses and an on-campus summer residency. Students pursuing the online Doctor of Education degree program participate through cohort groups of no more than 16 students; one new cohort will form each calendar year.
