Data now drives most business decisions. This course teaches students about the fundamentals of data collection and analysis, including probability distributions, sampling distributions, confidence intervals and testing a hypothesis.

Business Law and Ethics

Knowledge in these areas forms the core of a successful business person. The complex world of business law and ethics is explained, including how they apply to sale contracts, partnerships, insurance, inheritance, bankruptcy, real estate and corporations.

Principles of Management

Management is a complex occupation, especially in the competitive and global environment of the 21st century. In this course, students are introduced to research and study in management. They also learn about managerial strategy and planning, organizational design, styles of leadership and managing diversity.

International Business

Businesses in almost every industry are going global. Students in this area learn about decision making, markets, and the international and cross-cultural elements within institutions. Challenges in doing business internationally are covered as well, particularly how cultural and ethnic differences drive business in different international markets.

Those are just five of the many areas covered. There also is coursework within each specialty, including quality management for projects, Six Sigma principles and supply chain management.
